ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF SCIENCE EDUCATION (MIDDLE/SECONDARY SCIENCE)

TENURE STREAM

 

University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, a four-year, Baccalaureate College seeks qualified applicants for a tenure stream, Assistant Professor position, Science (Middle Level and Secondary) Education. The starting date is August, 2013. Responsibilities include 12 credits per term (middle level and secondary science methods, and related interdisciplinary STEM courses) which includes supervising field and clinical experiences; curriculum development, the ability to assist with program coordination, and collaborating with stakeholders. Requirements include a doctorate in science education or a related field and three years of successful middle/secondary level teaching. Experience teaching English language learners, special education populations or interdisciplinary STEM along with successful college teaching and/or supervision of student teachers is highly desirable.
