Write the President
Of the 65,000 letters President Obama receives each week, he selects ten per day to
personally respond to, often with a handwritten reply. According to the website,
whitehouse.gov, the President likes to hear what Americans have on their minds and what
is important to them. Let’s hope that this assignment teaches our students that we have a
government, in which each voice can be heard, even those voices of our 8th grade
students.
