Students in the Ditmas Rendell Center for Civics Education read The Artivist book by Nikkolas Smith and did their own read aloud and Cornell box projects.
Amy Mathis Ditmas Librarian partnered with Dr. Reissman. Classes 805 and 807 did the Read Aloud. Mr. Sefaradi, videographer, filmed the Read Aloud video. Ditmas Principal Marielena Santiago,AP Michelle Buitrago and AP Beatriz Bortle supported the ELA and Arts aspects of the Rendell Partnership.
Angelo Carideo, 7th Grade SS Innovator developed the Rendell artifact Cornell Boxes with 770 701 and 703. Ms. Joinvil supported these projects as partner in 770.
Writings about student artivism were done as well.
Mr. Downes infused The Artivist Read Aloud into his Soapbox club program with its student leaders reflecting on that theme.
