February is bracketed by social studies events as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the ratification of the 15th Amendment on the 3rd and the 117th Middle States Council for the Social Studies Annual Conference which will be held February 28-29, 2020 in Towson, MD (north of Baltimore). The PCSS Journal (see The PCSS Journal here ) and our incredible editors, PSU Professor Jessica Schocker and Millersville Professor Sarah Brooks, will be honored at that conference. Congratulations! It's my pleasure to inform you that you've been awarded the 2020 Outstanding Social Studies Publication Award by the Middle States Council for the Social Studies. You were nominated by Georgette Hackman. The Outstanding Publication Award is a certificate present to professionals from the Middle States region who use their publication to publish articles of interest to social studies educations, stimulate thinking, present various points of view, and/or highlight innovative and successful Social Studies teaching methods.
