Future of Social Studies:
PCSS must continue to advocate and promote social studies in education and the role that civics plays in everyday life. Social Studies education is the vehicle to teach students about those rights and responsibilities. As I have taken on a broader educational role over the past twenty years, I also see the importance of shared common values among an increasingly connected, global community. PCSS needs to play its role in facilitating the education that will allow Pennsylvania students to take their place in the world. The world is changing quickly and PCSS much also change.
